Brian Smith (26-9) of Sand Lake NY defeated Richie Wain (19-15) of Pittsburgh PA, four games to two, in the world series. Smith now has three STAR Tournaments wins.

Smith defeated Bruce Layton three games to two in one semi-final. Wain defeated Don Leong three games to two in the other semi-final.

Smith (19-5) and Leong (16-7) won their respective divisions.

Smith passed Ben Leong (11-12) to win the East Points Championship, and with it the East Papal Room Seat.
