Sean Oakley (21-11) of Antioch CA defeated Tom Anderson (18-15) of Moreno Valley CA by four games to none in the world series. It was Oakley’s first STAR Tournaments win.

In one semifinal, Oakley defeated Don Leong, three games to one.

In the other, Anderson defeated Randy Davidson, three games to two.

Anderson (15-9) won his division outright, but Leong & Davidson survived a 3-way shootout with Boris Pavich to advance from the other division. Second in Anderson‘s division was decided by a tiebreaker game between Oakley & Sonny Wilkalis.
