Dan and Tony Luburic (25-13) of Chicago IL and Ann Arbor MI, respectively, defeated Dan “Roscoe” Rosci (23-16) of Mt. Prospect IL four games to two in the world series. This is Dan's second Star Tournaments win and Tony's third.
The Luburics (18-10) won the "high" division and Jack Cahill (17-11) won the "low" division, both on head-to-head tiebreakers.
The Luburics defeated Larry Braus three games to one in one semi and Roscoe defeated Cahill three games to two in the other semi.
Cahill defeated Eric Wayne in the third-place final. Wayne was the highest finisher who was eligible for the Regional Prize.
Bill Meinhardt, who tied with Braus for fifth place, wins the Jasper Region points competition, and the Papal Room place that goes with it.
