Ben Swoboda (22-17) of Evanston IL defeated Frank Luisi (23-15) of Des Plaines IL four games to three in the finals. This is Swoboda's fifth STAR Tournaments win.

Swoboda defeated Mark Delpopolo three games to one in one semi and Luisi defeated Dan “Roscoe” Rosci three games to none in the other semi. Luisi was the highest finisher who was eligible for the Regional prize

Larry Braus defeated Roscoe in the third-place final

Delpopolo (20-12), who tied with Willy Dominguez for fifth place, wins the Jasper Region points competition, and the Papal Room place that goes with it.
