Nelson won the first three and Meszaros came back to win the next four after trailing 4-0 in Game 4. Game 6 was epic as both managers ran out of relievers in to start the 16th inning. Nelson couldn't score in the top half of the 16th off Ross Gload and personally took the mound in the bottom half. He struck out one and nearly picked off another and Meszaros didn't score. In the top half of the 17th, Nelson scored one run but it wasn't enough as he was weak in the bottom half of the 17th (Closer situation!) and immediately gave up a dot hit followed by a single and then Ross Gload won his own game with a walk-off 3-run homer.
